Hey guys, sooooooo glad to this forum up and running and i'm gonna try and get a few treats up online for you in the next hour or so. The boys have just finished doing a few songs on a UK music show called Later with Jools Holland. They played 'Semi Interesting Week' and surprisingly 'Walk The Dinosaur'. Got to say they looked and sounded amazing. In the next few hours gonna try and get the tracks upload to youtube and when I do I'll post them on here. Hows that for a site warming gift?

Greetings and thanks for the great news. If you'd like I have many gigs of webspace available so I could host it on one of my servers. IM me on here if you'd like to try that.

The problem i'm having is that my DVD recorder on my tv is rubbish, and my laptop won't recognise the dvd i recorded the show on. But worry not, it will take more than this to defeat me, plus an extended version of the show airs on friday night so if all else fails i'll try and capture it a different way.

Grrreat! Work The main difference from their current US performance is that this is a different yet still funky drummer on this performance.
Later With Jools Holland can be found from time to time on Comcast on Demand here in the States but its usually episodes that are 10-15 years old...

Thats a shame they only show the older stuff, its probably the last mainstream music show in England to showcase new and old talent. Always guarantee one good find a week. Anyhoo, there is an extended version of the show on this Friday over here in England and I have a feeling we'll get one more song out of them (I put my money on Crazy Water) and probably a short interview too. I will make sure I post them up over the weekend if theres anything to report.

We've got nothing like Jools's show. MTeeVee and VH1 are owned by the same company and run more reality shows and ads than music. They have award shows which are pop acts. The only channel that has a little integrity left is Much Music and that channel originates out of Canada. They have ok live tunes from time to time but I don't know anymore as I don't own or watch teevee anymore.
Keep up the great work I want to grow this message board and I may even turn it into a website like the huge graphic below indicates. I'll talk to Don again during the tour about it.

funnily enough i've been thinking the same thing about setting up a website (but don't have the technical skills) because the one thing I haven't mentioned yet was that my parent ran the was (not was) official fanzine 'Out Come The Freaks' back in the day so I have access to a HUGE amount of was (not was) info all the way from inception through to 1992 when they broke up. So if you are thinking of starting a website I would love to be involved.

Well the Friday night episode of Later with Jools has just finished over here and I was very pleasantly surprised! We got another version (and in my opinion better) of Semi Interesting Week, Your Luck Won't Last and the biggest surprise for me, a beautiful rendition of Where Did Your Heart Go!!! We also got a short interview (and I use the word interview loosely) with Don and David.
Its now nearly one in the morning over here and I have work in 6 hours so I'll try my best to get them uploaded to youtube either tomorrow evening, if not it will be Sunday but will try my best for tomorrow as you're in for a real treat!

So if you are thinking of starting a website I would love to be involved. WorldWideWas has enough of the info on the old cds/lps. So I don't want to become another discography site (Zzzz).
The site that I designed a main page for so far (seen below) will be modern info and most likely 100% graphic based.
I'll talk to Don again before the end of the tour.
If you have rare/unknown Was info then that content then that would be great to add as well to make it 50/50 past present info.
I made this message board because the layout of the yahoo discussion board worldwidewas uses is annoying and doesn't progress (yahoo won't change it ever).
A message board like this can grow and evolve much more. Frankly its a lot more user friendly and graphically pleasing.
There aren't enough Was (Not Was) Sites out there either.

hey, sorry been feeling under the weather and not had chance to do the jools show yet.
I'll have a dig around and see what I can find but I agree with what you said about the yahoo board, its not very easy to navigate, and that the web could do with a much more attractive website.
I'll get back to you over the weekend if i'm feeling better and let you know what i find.
